Iceland is a magical place. I’ve written about it before and only now am I slowly getting through images I shot last October. Yes it’s taken me around a year to get through them. This was shot quickly on my iPhone 6s using the Lightroom app to capture RAW and finally graded in Davinci Resolve. Stay tuned. More to come.
A couple stops near 617, trying to figure out where to go. A woman pops out of a doorway, cigarette in hand, curious as to what the couple was doing. She tilts her head and observes them as they figure out their next step. It’s human nature to enjoy observing others. Photographers just capture the moment. I’m back posting images. It’s been a while. I’ve changed my workflow. I spend very little time in Adobe Lightroom. There’s something about the …
As image makers we are all inherently imperfect. The road we take is riddled with failures. Failed moments, failed light, personal fails. This helps us learn and expand our creativity. Here is one such failed attempt. This is a re-recording of the original NY Fail episode. I wasn’t happy with the quality or what was said during the post. So here’s a fresh take. Enjoy. TW
I’m trying something different this time around with the Travelogue. Instead of just showing the picture right away, which you have already seen if you’re viewing the blog, we’re going to paint a mental picture. Hopefully in some way it will translate to the moment I experienced when I was standing in the Sahara Desert in Morocco. I have more to say about the Sahara. More images to show. More experiences to express. But this image is something that has …
This is a short post. I’ll be posting more images here and Travelogues about Morocco within the coming weeks. I’m posting this image as it’s one of the first pictures I took in the Sahara. Clean… Windswept Sands… And sand blowing towards camera. Everything I envisioned the Sahara to be. I got many more opportunities to take pictures here over the course of 4 days and I can’t wait to share them. Stay tuned. -Dominic
Last day in Iceland and the only day in Reykjavik. What better way to make the most of it than to get up early and putter around the town photographing. Have a listen and feel free to comment or like this post. -Dominic TW
It’s taken me over a week to get this out so apologies. It’s been crazy with work and travel. Day 2 takes me east bound. From Reykjavik through Vik and around the outlying areas. Have a listen and if you enjoy it feel free to comment or like this post. Don’t forget to click on the image above to bring up the gallery for the day. TW -Dominic
The fog was rolling in over the pond in St. Stephen’s Green. I played around with some funky filters on this shot. Sliding in a 3x magnification filter just at the edge of frame. Dublin, Ireland (June 2016) Leica M9; Leica 50mm Summilux-M Pre-ASPH
As image makers, we aren’t perfect. The road we take is riddled with failures. Failed attempts, failed locations, failed light. Here is one of them. Have a listen: This is the updated episode below. The new post can be found here. TW
Los Angeles (February, 2016) Slowly… Slowly… his head slides to the left as he gets bored with his paper. Nodding off to sleep while waiting for someone to return. Patiently waiting… Time seems to go by slowly when you’re waiting for others.
