Nikon F100

I had a Nikon F100 about three years ago. I loved it. Shot with it. And finally sold it, as it was cumbersome to shoot with on the street. Jump forward three years and I regret ever selling it. It was brilliant. Fast autofocus. Sharp images. Perfect for taking snaps of an infant puttering around.

Don’t get me wrong, I love my Leica. I use it all the time. But it’s hard shooting manual at times with a kid that won’t sit still.

Anyways this one isn’t mine. It’s a colleagues camera with an 85mm f/1.4 lens. I borrowed his camera to figure out the next focal length I wanted to get for my Leica. I’ve been debating between a 50mm and a 90mm. But due to the high prices on Leica gear, I just didn’t want to splurge and regret the decision. After all, this lens will only be used for taking pictures of my baby boy.

So. In the end I decided to settle for the 90mm lens. But in the process fell back in love with the Nikon F100. Now I’m debating if I just get that with an 85mm lens versus purchasing a 90mm for the Leica.
