Travelogue: Nomad

Can you hear it? Your footsteps in sand. The wind rushing by you as you walk towards the convoy of vehicles. You think to yourself. What did the guide say? If the wind picks before 2pm there is a chance of a sandstorm? You look towards the horizon, but see nothing. Crystal blue skies. Not even a cloud in sight. We’re back in Morocco for this weeks Travelogue. Let’s take a walk through the edge of the Sahara Desert. If

Travelogue: NY Fail

As image makers we are all inherently imperfect. The road we take is riddled with failures. Failed moments, failed light, personal fails. This helps us learn and expand our creativity. Here is one such failed attempt. This is a re-recording of the original NY Fail episode. I wasn’t happy with the quality or what was said during the post. So here’s a fresh take. Enjoy. TW

Travelogue: The Sign

Today we discuss this particular image, dubbed the sign, and whether or not a sign like this can have any effect in a large city such as New York. Now you may recognize this image from a previous Audio log dubbed “The Sign”. That’s because I’ve talked about it before. But when I listened back to it it just didn’t sound that great. More experiences to express. But this image is something that has

Morocco

This is a short post. I’ll be posting more images here and Travelogues about Morocco within the coming weeks. I’m posting this image as it’s one of the first pictures I took in the Sahara. Clean… Windswept Sands… And sand blowing towards camera. Everything I envisioned the Sahara to be. I got many more opportunities to take pictures here over the course of 4 days and I can’t wait to share them. Stay tuned. -Dominic

Leica 18mm Super-Elmar-M Filter Hack

The Leica 18mm Super-Elmar-M ASPH is one odd-ball lens. Built when the Leica M8 was the latest and greatest digital Rangefinder, it served to fill the void of a 24mm lens that Leica was lacking in their crop sensor line-up. When the M9 came out the lens became popular with some individuals as it offered a very odd but pleasing image. Some people dislike it and go for the 21mm Super-Elmar while others love the look it gives them. I,

Travelogue: Iceland Day 2

It’s taken me over a week to get this out so apologies. It’s been crazy with work and travel. Day 2 takes me east bound. From Reykjavik through Vik and around the outlying areas. Have a listen and if you enjoy it feel free to comment or like this post. Don’t forget to click on the image above to bring up the gallery for the day. TW -Dominic
