I like this image. I shot this while on location shooting Vikings Season 3 and it’s one of the only images that I can show as it doesn’t disclose anything thats happening story wise. It’s just me pointing the lens straight up at the sun through some trees. How boring, yet interesting to me.
Regardless this image is not the point of this post. I’m stagnating a bit photographically and I’m looking to challenge myself with a little project in the meantime. The goal over the next 25 days, that I’m in Ireland, is to shoot 25 rolls of film. 1 roll for every day that I’m here. That doesn’t mean I can shoot 1/2 a roll one day and 1 1/2 rolls on the next day. I need to complete a full roll of 24 or 36 exposures every single day. It can be all street, set, or a combination of the two. Hopefully this helps me evolve a bit and learn something new from it. I spend too much time worrying about what I’m shooting and should just shut my brain off sometimes and shoot purely on emotion. I’ve been hearing that phrase from a lot of photographers lately so I’m giving it a shot myself. Hopefully this pans out and when I return to Toronto, and develop these rolls, I end up with some interesting photographs.
Day 1 starts tomorrow
